Arvind Garg is the primary consultant of Garg Consulting. He has more than 30 years’ experience with multinationals in both technical and commercial phases of the oil and gas industry and has worked in various parts of the world. His expertise is in economic evaluations, portfolio management, engineering, international dealings, professional training, and recruiting. He has a B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering (1984) from Colorado School of Mines and an MBA (1993) from University of Oklahoma.
Arvind started his career in 1984 working for Mobil Corporation. He spent 9 years with them working all technical roles in the oilfield (production, facilities, corrosion prevention, technical computing, etc.). In 1993, after completing his MBA, he joined Amoco Corporation where he did project management work on new coalbed methane opportunities in southern Colorado (USA) and India. He later did reservoir engineering for Amoco fields in Venezuela. Then, from 1997-2017, Arvind has worked for Shell International. During this time, Arvind has lived/worked in Oman, Netherlands, and Singapore in a commercial capacity with various roles: corporate economist, course director, commercial advisor, opportunity identification, and managing the construction of a new Shell office in Oman.
Since 2017, Arvind runs his own consulting company aimed at customized solutions for training, economics, and project framing.
